Application Process
If you are interested in applying for a position with Avery County Schools, please register with the NC Online Application System through North Carolina Public Schools. Make sure to designate Avery County Schools as a choice for employment. Active Applications
All applications will be placed in the active file of the Human Resources department for one year. If a position becomes available in an area in which you are qualified, your application will be considered. If you need to renew or update your application, please contact Sharon Perez in the Human Resources Office at 828-733-6006 extension 45.
Selection Process
All applications received for specific positions will be reviewed. The Director Of Human Resources and appropriate staff members will participate in the review of all applications. A selected number of applicants will be asked to interview with an interview committee. The selection for interviews will be based upon the need and educational specifications for this position.
Persons presently employed in the Avery County Schools who are interested in any position must submit a resume and a letter expressing their interest, qualifications, and reasons for being considered for the position. Any other information the applicant wishes to include should be submitted with the resume.
