Students wishing to pay for meals in advance may do so in the cafeteria manager's office at any time.

What Makes up a School Meal?

A school breakfast consists of:

  • 1/2 cup fruit or vegetable or full strength juice
  • 2 oz. bread or alternate or
  • 2 oz. meat or alternate or
  • 1 oz each or meat or bread or alternate
  • 1/2 pint milk

A school lunch consists of:

  • 2 oz. of meat or meat alternate
  • 2 servings (1/2 cup) of vegetables and/or fruit
  • 2-3 oz. serving of bread or bread alternate
  • 1/2 pint milk

Under the "Offer vs. Serve" provision of the National School Lunch Program, the student may decline two of the items offered. However the price of the meal remains the same. If any student takes only one or two of the meal components, he must pay for these at the posted prices (this includes those students who quality for free or reduced price meals.)

A pre-packaged salad or salad bar is available as an alternate lunch. Whole milk, low fat white, skim and low fat chocolate milk available daily. Juice and Cereal are available for breakfast each morning. Menus may be changed because of problems with deliveries or weather. Cafeteria managers will notify students in advance of changes if possible.
