Underclassmen Awards and Senior Yearbook Dedication/Decision Day - May 20th.
ACHS students have around 150 artworks displayed in the Alan T. Dickson Gallery at Cannon Memorial Hospital throughout the month of April. The public is invited to a drop in reception between 6- 8pm on April 16. The public can visit and view the work at anytime throughout the month.
Students should leave their bookbags in 1st period, go to the assembly, and retrieve their belongings afterwards. Students will be dismissed to the assembly about 10 mins early and will be given 5 mins to get to class after it is over.

The Faces of Avery Addiction
All juniors will take the ACT on March 12th. Please bring an ID with a photo for admittance. Cell phones and Smartwatches will not be allowed in the testing rooms. Calculators will be provided.
Mountain Alliance is offering FREE ACT Prep every Tuesday from 3:45 4:30.

Parents and students are invited to come to a scholarship workday on Tuesday, Feb. 26th in the media center from 8-2pm. No appointments are necessary. Representatives from the Avery County Education Foundation and Avery high school will be present to assist students and answer questions.
Monday, February 18, 6-8:00pm in the ACHS cafeteria.
Departments and Student Services will have table displays and will be available to answer questions about classes, graduation requirements, etc.
Student Services will also have a sign up for family appointments.
There will be a presentation in the mini-theater about course changes, preparing for and succeeding in high school, and our new pathways.
