8TH CMS GRADERS AND FAMILIES!
Our promotion ceremony will be Tuesday, May 30 starting at 6pm. We will be in the CMS gym.
Following the ceremony, we will have an After Promotion celebration. Teachers and staff will chaperone as students enjoy activities like a final open gym, some of their favorite music and a fire pit here at the school. Parents can come back for them at 9:30pm.
We are asking if families can send in canned drinks, bagged chips, and goodies for the students as they hang out together.

Reminder that Monday, May 15 is an early dismissal day for Avery County Schools. CMS will dismiss at 12noon. Thanks for helping spread the word!
Attention current CMS 7th graders and families!! Next Tuesday, May 16, at 6pm, we will have an informational meeting about our Spring 2024 trip to DC. We'll meet in the cafeteria and share some preliminary info about the trip as well as ideas about fundraising leading up to our trip. We would like to see ALL our 7th grade families represented at this meeting. Let us know if you have any questions!
CMS will be joining Freedom Trail to host an art gallery walk next Tuesday, May 16! We encourage our community to come out and see some great artwork created by our students. Time will be 6-7pm here at the school.

May 8-12 is Teacher Appreciation Week and we will be celebrating our outstanding educators at Cranberry Middle!! We are so very grateful for everything our teachers do to help our students, families and other CMS staff on a daily basis. A week simply isn't enough to show all our appreciation!

Wildcat celebration was a successful mission today. We had the theme of Mission: Impossible. The students had multiple missions they had to complete and these were some of the results. All missions were completed with great enthusiasm. Great job wildcats.

Our CMS plant sale will begin Monday May 8th. From 8:00am to 3:00pm.
We are so appreciative for what all Dr. J does for our school. He is a huge supporter of everything the students are involved in. We are so glad to have him at CMS as our principal. #principalappreciationday

Weekly update for CMS.
This past week we had the privilege of going to Greensboro to compete against other schools for the state SkillsUSA conference. All of our students did great and came home with some hardware. We are so proud of our students and the way they represent our school and community. Next stop will be Atlanta Georgia for Nationals.
