Superintendent's Letter to Parents

2018-2019 School Year

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your family.  It is an honor and a privilege to serve the young people of Avery County.  We are committed to providing students and families the best educational experience possible.  You and your family are very important to our school district, and we encourage you to be an advocate for education and the Avery County Schools.

I hope you take an active role in your child’s education by visiting their school and by taking part in the many opportunities you have to serve, such as becoming a volunteer or joining the PTA.  Please know you are always welcome in our schools.

If you have questions or concerns regarding your child or their education, please feel free to contact my office at 828-733-6006 or via email at bryantaylor@averyschools.net.  Our central office staff and I are always available to assist you.

Thank you again for allowing the Avery County Schools to serve you and your family.

Sincerely,

Bryan W. Taylor, Ed.D.

Superintendent
