Avery County Schools will be on a 2 Hour Delay tomorrow 12/7. Staff may report at 9AM.
No buses running on all gravel roads, Trim Branch, Cow Camp, Hickory Nut Gap, Big Horse Creek, Sugar#2, Little Elk, Turbyfill, Old Jonas Ridge. Old Beech will only run to Fall Creek Baptist Church.
ACS will reassess overnight and make any changes by 6AM

The Winter Semi-Formal Dance will be held this Friday, December 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The cost of the dance is $10 and food will be provided at this cost. Here are some ways you can help make this special for our students:
Volunteer to serve refreshments, help chaperone the dance or help clean up after the dance. You can also donate food and drink items for the dance.
6th grade-canned drinks and waters
7th and 8th grades-Finger foods (sandwiches, chips & dips, cookies, fruit, vegetables, cheese & crackers)
Please have non-perishable foods to the school by Friday morning (12/8), all other foods please drop off by 4pm.
On Wednesday, we will administer the Math 1 NC Check In. This assessment is only for students who are currently in Math 1. Please make sure students arrive at school on time with their iPads charged.
On Thursday, our band will have a concert in the ACHS gym beginning at 6:00.

Weekly Announcements November 20th-24th
On Monday our basketball teams will play at home against Rosman. The girl’s game begins at 4:30 and the boy’s game will immediately follow.
Students will have a free PJ day on Tuesday to help ease into the Thanksgiving break.
Students who are participating in The Amazing Shake on Tuesday will meet in the media center at 9:25.
There is no school for students on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the week in observance of Thanksgiving.
