This message is to let you know we have hired a new second grade teacher for your students. We would first like to say thank you to Mrs. Alice for all of her hard work and help with our students. We appreciate you.
I would like for you to join me in welcoming Ms. Murphy, who will be joining us as our new Second Grade Teacher.
Ms. Murphy comes to us from Hopkinton, Massachusetts. She earned her teaching degree from the University of Delaware, achieving Dean’s List honors in 6 out of 8 semesters, graduating in May 2024.
We’re excited to welcome Ms. Murphy to our school community and look forward to the energy, creativity, and youthful enthusiasm she brings to the classroom and our team. Outside the classroom, Ms. Murphy enjoys painting, crafts, exploring nature, and hiking.
Her first day of school will be Monday!

Switch-Juice Drink Carbonated Water $1.50

Students may purchase snacks in addition to meals. Students cannot charge snack items. Students will need to bring additional money to purchase items or have money on their account.
*Students must finish Switch drinks and juice boxes before leaving cafeteria. All other items can be taken with students for snack later.
Tomorrow is Proud to be an American Day. Dress in Red, White, and Blue tomorrow as we continue spirit week.

Friday is also our Homecoming Early Dismissal as school will be dismissing early for the Homecoming Parade in Newland.

It has been a great opening of school and we are working hard with your students each and everyday. We need your assistance in helping us keep students here for the full instructional day. Our teachers work with students until the end of the school day, everyday. When students are checked out early they miss the instruction and extra help we have designed for them. Thank you for your attention to this matter and have a good evening!

Tonight is our Open House from 4-7pm. We need all parents to fill out all forms tonight so we can take care of all paperwork and iPad distribution when school starts. Students can not be issued an iPad without signed forms because all iPads are new this year and we have to have permission to use Google platforms. Parents that fill out all forms will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card and a $25 gift card.
When coming to Open House please do not park in the lane closest to the school because it is a Fire Lane. We need to keep this open for safety and so people can exit.
