The Avery County Board of Education proudly recognized members of the Avery County High School Track Team during a recent June board meeting for their outstanding performances at the North Carolina State Championships. Though many athletes were unable to attend due to another athletic recognition event held the same evening, the board had the honor of celebrating Kaydence Menifee, a standout athlete who claimed multiple top finishes, including a State Championship in the 4x400 Meter Relay.
The track team’s success at the state level is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated throughout their season. Board members offered congratulations and praised the athletes for their commitment and sportsmanship.
