At the November 4th Board of Education meeting, the Avery County Schools Board proudly recognized the Avery Chamber of Commerce for their ongoing support of our schools. The award was accepted by Ms. Victoria Bowman, Executive Director of the Chamber, on behalf of the organization.
The board expressed their gratitude for the Chamber’s continuous efforts to enhance educational experiences and community engagement. One of the most recent contributions highlighted was the Woolly Worm Race, an exciting and fun event brought into our schools that has quickly become a beloved tradition for students.
Ms. Bowman’s acceptance of the award underscored the Chamber’s commitment to partnering with Avery County Schools to create enriching opportunities for students. The board emphasized that the Chamber’s consistent involvement and support make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the broader community.
