Students from the SkillsUSA team at Cranberry Middle School visited the Avery County Board of Education meeting on March 10, 2026, where they demonstrated the leadership and communication skills they are developing through the program.
Prior to the start of the meeting, the students greeted guests and interacted with community members, showcasing their ability to confidently connect with the public and represent their school.
During the meeting, the students also delivered a presentation about SkillsUSA, explaining the mission of the organization and sharing what they are learning through their participation. They highlighted how the program helps them build career-ready skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and professionalism.
The students’ confidence and professionalism were evident throughout the evening. Their dedication to developing these important life and career skills reflects the positive impact of SkillsUSA and the bright futures ahead for these young leaders!
