Avery County Schools is pleased to announce and warmly welcome two new members to its district team!
We are excited to introduce Mr. Ricky Ward as the new Principal of Avery County High School. Mr. Ward brings leadership experience and a commitment to student success, and the district looks forward to the positive impact he will have on students, staff, and the broader school community. His leadership will play an important role in continuing to strengthen academic achievement, school culture, and engagement at Avery County High School.
In addition, Avery County Schools is happy to welcome Ms. Bridgett Evans to the Technology Department. Ms. Evans joins the district as part of the team supporting the essential technology systems and services that help keep classrooms connected and learning environments running smoothly across all schools.
The district is grateful for both Mr. Ward and Ms. Evans and the expertise they bring to their roles.
