At the June 29, 2026 Board of Education meeting — their final meeting as members of the Avery County Schools Board of Education — Avery County Schools proudly honored Mrs. Pat Edwards and Mr. Randy Singleton for their years of dedicated service to our students, staff, and community. Both leaders were warmly applauded for their unwavering commitment and genuine care for every child who walks through our school doors.
Mrs. Edwards and Mr. Singleton have exemplified what it means to serve with heart — always putting students first, lifting others up, and working tirelessly to strengthen the foundation of education in Avery County. Their leadership has shaped opportunities, inspired excellence, and reminded us all that the true measure of service is found in the lives we touch.
